In the quest for a more sustainable and harmonious environment, Environmental Protection Promoters Initiative (EPPI) wish to bring to your knowledge a pressing issue demanding our attention – excessive noise pollution from religious activities. The pervasive use of loudspeakers during worship has become a persistent environmental nuisance, shattering the peace of residences and businesses. The intentional installation of speakers outside worship houses broadcasts noise into the surrounding community, disregarding the rights and feelings of neighbors.
This act has far-reaching consequences, disrupting various aspects of life, including:
– Healthcare: Caring for sick family members or friends, recovering from sickness, and medical professionals’ focus
– Education: Learning in class or online, academic activities, and exams
– Business: Meetings, corporate discussions, and economic activities
– Personal: Rest, relaxation, and overall well-being
Ironically, religion, meant to be the custodian of love, respect, and compassion, has become in this instance a source of disturbance and disregard for others’ rights.
